Wood Fencing
A wood fence is an excellent choice for both security and privacy. With wood fencing there is a huge array of options and styles. Standard heights are 4', 6' and 8' tall.
There are three types of wood used in our area.
Cedar is the most popular choice of fence boards. It is naturally resistant to decay and insects. It is the most durable of the three options.
Cypress is naturally resistant to decay and insects like cedar. However it is more prone to warpage and shrinkage than cedar.
Pressure Treated Pine is chemically treated to resist decay and insects. Its warpage and shrinkage are similar to that of cypress.
